Garbage Collection Guidelines (PDF)
Waste Management is your partner for environmental services and solutions whose people go above and beyond to serve and solve every challenge the right way. Below is an explanation of residential services for Luce Bayou Public Utility District.
Regular Waste Collection Day: Tuesday and Friday
Please be sure your trash is out by 7:00 AM on collection day.
Household garbage, grass clippings, leaves, branches and tree trimmings are collected at the curb. Collection shall be limited to ten (10) bags, container or bundles per collection.
Important! For the safety and protection of our employees and equipment, we do require that branches and tree trimmings be no greater than three inches (3″) in diameter and be cut, tied and bundled in four-foot (4′) lengths weighing no more than forty to fifty pounds (40-50 lbs.)
Cart Placement
Collection is performed in an automated side load truck. Please place your cart(s) at the curb with the opening toward the street. Cart(s) should be at least 4 to 5 feet from any obstruction such as a parked vehicle or mailbox.
Bulk Trash Collection: Two (2) items on the second collection day of each week.
Eight (8) items or three (3) cubic yards.
Acceptable items include old furniture, appliances, grass clippings, leaves, branches and tree trimmings that may not fit into the waste cart. Moving boxes not placed in the recycle cart may be broken down, tied and bundled for collection as a Bulk item. Bulk items are collected monthly, outside the cart, in a rear load truck.
Please note! WM can no longer dispose of CFC refrigerant containing items (i.e., refrigerators, freezers, etc.) without certification that the Freon has been properly removed and recycled, pursuant to current Federal law.
